Book Hookup Review

Fast‑paced and action‑packed, Neuracode: Part I: A YA cyberpunk sci-fi prequel novella to Project Juniper launches readers straight into the high‑stakes world of Project Juniper. It’s a novella that doesn’t waste a moment, every scene pushes forward with tension, emotion, and a sense of discovery.

I’ll admit, I was a little lost at first, but it’s worth hanging in there. The story quickly finds its rhythm, and the payoff is strong. The technobabble is well written, making the science believable without bogging down the pace.

The author doesn't get bogged down in minute details, but skips ahead through years and uneventful stretches, focusing instead on the moments that matter. This not only keeps the pacing tight but also keeps the stakes clear as the characters grow from preteens into young adults. The worldbuilding is intentionally light in places, but it doesn’t detract from the emotional core or the momentum of the plot.

This is a story for YA and adult fans of cyberpunk and dystopian fiction who enjoy character‑driven survival arcs and relationships forged under pressure. And yes, the ending lands at a strategic cliffhanger, exactly where you’ll want to grab Part II.
